ART DESCRIPTION

"Derealization" is a realistic charcoal drawing reflecting one who is observing himself from outside, having a feeling that things around him are not real. It is that temporal detachment from reality and the connection with his thoughts and feelings.

The space around him signifies the world around him. Sweat shows his pain; his face up and closed eyes show he is deep in thought and has lost his sense of perception of his surroundings.

His concentration is on the events of his dream. Derealization is a continuation of the "altered state of mind" series. The series will show thought patterns and experiences of persons whose sense of perception is different than usual.
